After completion decking timber will have a green appearance, this is due to the chemical treatment process and after time will weather to a honey brown colour before eventualy fading out to a driftwood grey appearance.

On the last day of installation Deckspace will clean the deck using a pressure washer to ensure all muddy footprints have been removed.

How often you have to clean your deck will depend on the usage and the position in the garden relevant to trees and vegetation but all decks should be brushed or hosed down regularly.

Due to the pressure treatment process Further preserving is not necessary (in most cases the under structure is inaccessible), however after the first season has passed it is advisable to apply an appropriate deck cleaning chemical followed by a coating of water replant, both of which are available in most home stores.
