construction method
Double post beam Once the design has been agreed and an order placed, you are given an idea of when to expect delivery of your timber and the installation to start.

Although construction methods can vary depending on the terrain the following methods are common for most of our decks.

We support the deck framework using the American post and double beam system, this technique provides equal support for all joists and is commonly used on most elevated decks.

Depending on the size of the deck day one is usually ground preparation andGround preparation frame work day, during this process the ground is removed if necessary to allow the bulky framework to fit at the correct elevation, once complete the outer framework of the deck is constructed, followed by the beams and joists.

Screw to joistsHoles are dug and concrete is poured in to secure the support posts in position. If the handrail option has been chosen the newel posts are then bolted to the inner framework and deckboards are the screwed to joists.

Facia boardsOnce built we will surround the perimeter of the deck with facia boards.
